Miedema, 18 year old Dutch international football forward comes third amongst Top 10 Players to Watch in Women’s World Cup 2015. She represents German Frauen-Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich and the Netherlands women’s national football team. Miedema should be one to watch as the Oranje make their debut on the World Cup stage.

The five time FIFA Woman’s Player of the year Marta – aka “the female Pelé” is at No. 2 in the list Top 10 Players to Watch in Women’s World Cup 2015. The most instantly recognisable face of the tournament would be the biggest name at Canada 2015. She currently plays for FC Rosengård of the Swedish Damallsvenskan. She tops the all time Women’s World Cup goalscorer – tied on 14 goals with Germany’s now retired Birgit Prinz. She has won both the Golden Ball award as the best player and the Golden Boot award as the top scorer in the 2007 Women’s World Cup.

Asisat Lamina Oshoala is a Nigerian professional footballer. She is the first African import to play in England’s Women’s Super League – with Liverpool Ladies. Last year in Canada, she was named best player and was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. She was also named best player and second top goalscorer with the Super Falcons team who won the 2014 African Women’s Championship. She has recently been voted the BBC women’s footballer of the year.
